Bass/guitar processor in my pedal chain?
II ‘m a bass player. have a bass processor and a guitar processor. They both sound great by themselves. But both of them sound thin, and coax a huge amount of feedback when I add them to my chain of effects on my pedal board. My effect are a (in order) a crybaby, an Aphex Punch Factory Compressor, and a Boss Bass EQ. Are processing pedals just not meant to be used in conjunction with other effects?
The problem is more than likely the gain on the 2 processors is too much for each other, producing feedback. The processing pedals each are set to presets that provide certain gain/overdrive/distortion and together it’s overkill. Try to turn the gain setting down on each and see how it works. Overall, it’s not the best idea, but if you want to do it, adjust the settings.
